Focusing on estate planning, probate, and personal injury matters, Jared Gasman brings a creative, client-centered approach to the practice of law.

Born and raised in South Florida, he earned a degree in philosophy from the University of Chicago before returning home to attend law school at Nova Southeastern University.

“Being a third generation lawyer, I think it must be in my blood. My grandmother was admitted to the New York Bar at just 21 years of age and I grew up spending a lot of time at my father’s Ft. Lauderdale law office. At first, it was just a place to play but, as I got older and became more involved, I was amazed at his uncanny ability to connect with clients. He was a true counselor who worked tirelessly for his clients. And when I saw how he helped people, my mind was made up.”

– On Becoming An Attorney

Jared brings the lessons he learned observing his father to his own practice, focusing on building relationships with clients and working hard to get results.

As an estate planner, Jared’s approach is to provide counsel and advice that empowers clients to make decisions that best protect them and their loved ones. Working one-on-one with clients, Jared takes the time to appreciate their unique goals and concerns before carefully explaining the complexities of the many options available. He then collaborates with every client to produce comprehensive, tailor-made estate plans that protect their hard-earned assets.

“I really enjoyed majoring in philosophy, examining and analyzing some of the big questions about the human experience. I think that same interest is what drew me to estate planning. Clients are taking stock of what they have, thinking about the ones they love and how best to provide for them, all while confronting their own mortality. It’s a pleasure and privilege to be able to help them through that process.”

– On Estate Planning

Jared’s probate clients have come to admire both his empathy and effectiveness. Aided by a keen eye for detail, a skill he honed working for the White House Office of Presidential Personnel, he ensures the administration of every estate is as seamless and efficient as possible.

A seasoned negotiator and fierce advocate for the injured, Jared is also no stranger to the courtroom. A decorated member of his law school’s moot court team, Jared began trying cases on behalf of the Broward County State Attorney’s Office while still a law student. He continues to represent victims and others in need, litigating cases throughout the state.

“Representing someone that has been injured in an accident is a responsibility that I take very seriously. That’s because the outcome is critically important not only to my client, but their families as well. Whether I’m negotiating with an insurance company or taking a case to trial, I never lose site of that fact.”

– On Personal Injury Cases

While Jared is available to meet with clients in his Ft. Lauderdale office, he understands that travelling to meet with an attorney is not always possible. As such, Jared is pleased to meet clients in locations that are convenient for them, such as hospitals and assisted-living facilties, throughout South Florida.
